Event Rentals

Community Forge’s converted school rooms have been host to bookings big and small, from music festivals to workshops, community meetings to film screenings, conference calls to birthday parties.

We have placed all outside bookings on a temporary hold. Community Forge is now filled with over 30 local entrepreneurs, non-profits, and businesses and we manage all of that energy with only a single staff member. We are still a largely volunteer-run organization and are grappling with how to make our business long-term sustainable. Once we are able to increase our staffing capacity, we hope to re-open our events booking business to the public.

We will continue to offer public events and programs. If your event request is a public event that could provide an opportunity for Wilkinsburg residents, we might reach back out to help and sponsor the request. If your event request targets a particular population that one of our tenants serve, consider looking at our resident directory as they may be interested in helping sponsor your event happening at Community Forge.

The original school atrium, the Atrium is a nexus for Community Forge. It hosts a beautiful 3-story tall ceiling with columns and is our largest event rental space on the 1st floor. It is directly connected to additional Breakout rooms available and the Kitchenette. The space has become a popular venue for meetings, screenings, birthday parties, weddings, concerts and public gatherings. This room is sized 48 feet by 48 feet.


The Kitchenette includes a sink, microwave, fridge & freezer, small oven & stovetop, and dishwasher. This space may be used and shared with tenants. If you require the exclusive use of this space, there is an additional rental fee. We have an additional commercial fridge and warmer for catering in the basement.

Dance Studio

This second floor dance studio (sized 24 feet by 30 feet) has large bright windows and dance flooring for rehearsals and activities.

After School Room

This space (sized 24 feet by 30 feet) is steps from the main atrium space on the first floor. The room comes with couches, chairs, board games and even a couple pianos- but all can be easily moved to the side. A relaxing and fun atmosphere, complete with a huge outer-space mural! This space is particularly suited for youth events and parties.

Seminar Room
capacity: seated: 25 standing: 30

This space is steps from the main atrium space on the first floor. An intimate presentation space, this is ideal for teaching, seminars, workshops and meetings. Enjoy writing on original school chalkboards. This room is sized 24 feet by 20 feet.

Conference Room
capacity: seated: 9-15

Our Conference Room includes: a TV & Microphone for Video Conferencing, Whiteboard & Markers, private bathroom, and Wi-fi.

The old elementary school gym comes complete with a half court and basketball hoops. Located in the basement, the Gym has a loading ramp directly into the space. The basement is ADA Accessible. This room is sized 26 feet by 45 feet.

One of our mid-sized spaces located in the basement, this room has a classic ‘library’ feel with shelves of books surrounding the walls. There’s also door access directly to the main parking lot. The basement is ADA Accessible. This room is sized 26 feet by 45 feet.

Outdoor Lot

Approximately 150 feet by 100 feet - Our outdoor lot has an upper and lower section. We’ve previously hosted Music Festivals (Sunfest, Freek Show), BBQs, Community Giveaways and more.

Note: Does not require a door attendee, unless you would like access to the indoor restrooms.
